Since starting on our journey in 2018 Citrus Ornge has been privileged to work with some incredible and inspirational people.
I have been so fortunate to have had the support and guidance from an amazing board of advisors. One of those is Carmel Miller, who the team and I have worked closely with to shape our human resources and wellbeing strategy.
We have designed our policies and our focus on how we hire and cultivate talent and have a clearly defined well-polished strategy to take us forward.
Sadly, Carmel has decided to move on to focus solely on her senior C-Level coaching and new business, Talk True, that she has launched earlier this year. I want to thank Carmel for all her time, experience, and dedication she has shown to our business and team.
We are unique for being a media business that helps those recovering from addiction and ex-offenders as part of our people strategy, so extra care had to be given to how we approach this. We now have clearly defined policies across our business that cover all areas of our personnel strategy – so thank you again Carmel, it has been an absolute pleasure and we all wish you every success with your endeavours. You will be missed! “
Dr Rob Robinson, a leading figure in addiction recovery, delighted to join Citrus Ornge.
With one valued colleague moving on to pastures new, it has opened the door to opportunity within our organisation. I am excited and chuffed to announce that Dr Rob Robinson is joining the Citrus Ornge Advisory Board to help us continue to cultivate and shape our people-talent going forward.
Rob is no stranger to Citrus Ornge. He’s been part of the family from the start and helped us with our mission to provide employment opportunities for those in recovery.
Rob comes with a wealth of experience, he’s currently a Principal Investigator on a Public Health England trial of specialist support for people in recovery. The trial is the largest of its kind ever conducted and is the government’s flagship response to the Independent Review of Drugs carried out by Dame Carol Black.
Rob has overall responsibility for the running of the Brighton trial site. Rob invited me to one of the consultation sessions with Professor Dame Carol Black JP Marks, Director General, Work and Health Services at the Department for Work and Pensions. It was truly humbling to see how committed these two individuals and all those involved are, with inspiring dedication to improving the lives of people in recovery.
With over twenty years’ experience in senior management positions across a range of sectors, as well as running a successful coaching and mentoring service for the past 12 years, Rob’s unique skill set will be invaluable to our plans to develop our people.
I feel so humbled by the fact that such a leading figure in this field would consider working with our business and I know that we will all benefit hugely from Rob’s experience and support. With so much going on out there at the moment, I feel totally supported and excited about what 2021 will bring for us all.
